I founded H2O Adventures & More LLC because I love being outside, as well as, being on and in the water. I hail from the Ocean State, Rhode Island and as of this year, Florida has been my home for 30 years. I have always been very active in water activities, including but not limited to riding waves, sailing, boating, scuba diving and of course kayaking. My family always called me Ariel, as in The Little Mermaid but then my Florida family decided my other nickname should be “Mermaid Ryn". I have over 30 years of experience paddling in the calmest of lakes, in swift moving rivers, against waves and currents and also in raging Class V whitewater, which makes me a great source of paddling knowledge. I love paddling because it allows you to experience nature and get to places you cannot otherwise access. While in college, I organized several small group activities such as whitewater rafting and camping trips to include other outdoor scavenger hunts and activities such as hiking, rock climbing and rappelling.The nerd in me really enjoys researching and taking time learn about things before setting out on any adventure, always, considering safety first!
I am a mother of a 13 year old son, who became a mini merman and explorer when he was just 3 years old. Several years ago, Santa brought him his own kayak and paddle. I know he loves the independence of paddling on his own, but like any child, he requires complete supervision and gets a briefing from me every time. I am blessed that he absolutely loves being outside, enjoys exploring and kayaking. He often asks to go to the river and/or beach to fossil hunt, and you know he never has to twist my arm. My husband, Dean, is my right hand and loves all the adventures too. We are a very active and environmentally friendly family who never pass up an opportunity to be out in nature exploring and cleaning up the waterways as we go. So, if the weather and conditions are favorable, you won't find us at home.
If there is something I do not know I will find the answer and strive to learn as much as I can so I can provide you with the best experience on or in the water. I have completed boating safety certification and other water instruction through ACA , Boat US and NAUI. You can feel safe and in the best care while on and in the water! The first priority is always your safety, second is having fun. I love to explore, learn and teach what I have learned to others. In addition to water sports, I have a vast educational background. I love and respect all types of animals (except spiders), being out in nature, photography, music, art, cooking, physical fitness and too many other things to list. Did I mention that I love the water?
